So many of us try to hide the messy bits of our life because we feel guilt, shame, and a bit embarrassed.

What would happen if we accepted life’s messy bits? What if we did our best to unhide them from ourselves?
Unhiding the messy bits from ourselves means looking directly at them. They are not a reflection of who you are. Rather, they are you attempting to live life in the past. Nearly all of us experience those moments of shame, embarrassment, and guilt. Then, we let our minds pick up the pace and we begin to add to it. Like worrying about judgment from others.
But here’s the thing. Their judgment of you is a reflection of their understanding (and all the shit they make up in their heads) about their view of you, but that is not who You are.
It takes courage to look at the messy bits of life because it’s so close, so personal. Even when we believe we made the mess. Even if you did make a mess, you must understand that mess you’re hung up on is over. It’s dead. Stop trying to bring it back. Is it happening right now, at this very moment?
Finding Peace Through Nonduality
Examining life’s messy parts is just as, if not more, important as examining life’s “good” parts. This is an act of inner courage that no one can see. It’s not bravado, it’s a deeply personal fearlessness. It can be tremendously difficult to do this because it requires us to love ourselves. To love ourselves appears so difficult because we inherently know all our so-called flaws (all this shit you make up about yourself). I’ve come to know that people who are chasing stillness talk a lot about love and kindness for others. But what about yourself
What if we acknowledged the messy bits of life, and you become at peace with them?
